A Little Bit About Me
I'd never have thought I'd be on a matrimonial site so forgive me as I unashamedly try to sell myself..

I’d like to say I'm someone who is easy to get along and (occasionally) witty with a dry sense of humour.

From an Islamic perspective I'm grounded in my morals and principles. I pray, attend the mosque, fast and uphold the tenets of Islam. My iman (like most people’s) has its ups and downs, but the compass iA points in the right direction.

Outside that I’m usually reading something I’ll never finish, tackling my never ending list of DIY jobs or pretending to know about coffee ("brown" is best). I appreciate small acts of kindness and saying Alhamdhulillah even during hard times.

I also collect loads of useless trivia for a rainy day (like why lifts have mirrors). That day hasn't arrived.

What I Am Looking For
Apologies in advance if I scroll across your profile more than once - it's just the way the search function works (promise I'm not stalking).

I don’t really have fixed checklist for my perfect partner. For me, companionship is about how two people click (call it chemistry).

InshaAllah someone who can be both a friend and a companion. Someone who’s grounded, feminine and naturally kind. A sense of humour would also be great (would mainly just mean laughing at my jokes).

Faith wise, someone who shares my outlook on life, prays and is a traditionalist at heart. I'd prefer my partner not to work but to focus on building and nurturing our family. I'd want to share the same Islamic outlook (for this life and the Akhirah). I recognise that no one is perfect but having strong Islamic morals and a heavy dose of common sense helps.

Being able to express yourself also matters. As cliche as it sounds, communication in any relationship key. After the initial novelty fades, every relationship requires some effort. I’m looking for someone with the maturity and foresight to value that.
